Introducing Austin McIntyre, the Men's Volleyball Assistant Coach, whose journey in sports led him from a freshman year of high school to a passionate pursuit of volleyball. Austin's love for the game and his desire to make a positive impact on athletes' lives have guided him through his coaching journey.

Austin's coaching aspirations were sparked when he assisted Coach Black with the Women's Volleyball (WVB) team while he was a player at Moorpark. This experience ignited a passion for coaching, one that might eventually evolve into a career. However, his primary motivation lies in helping athletes achieve their academic and athletic aspirations, fostering a sense of accomplishment and growth.

In Austin's coaching philosophy, he emphasizes the importance of introducing challenges that stimulate critical thinking and communication. These challenges require leadership in various forms, be it in conditioning, on the court, in academics, or in community outreach. He believes that the ability to lead is a vital skill that can be nurtured across different aspects of an athlete's journey.

Among Austin's notable achievements, the recent men's volleyball season stands out prominently. Their advancement to the state semi-finals was a triumphant moment, one he cherishes as both a coach and former player. This achievement marked a significant step forward for the program, motivating Austin and his team to aim even higher in the coming season.

As a part of the men's volleyball coaching staff, Austin places a strong emphasis on academic success. He and his colleagues actively support athletes by keeping them informed about important dates and connecting them with valuable college resources. During practices, they foster a sense of camaraderie and bonding among the team, creating a close-knit community that transcends the court.
