Women's volleyball bows out in SoCal Regional 2nd round

All great things must come to an end. It's a cliche that's a tale as old as time, but it's true.

The Moorpark College women's volleyball team saw its conference-championship winning season come to a close after a 3-1 (25-20, 25-19, 23-25, 25-19) loss to San Diego Mesa in the CCCAA SoCal Regional playoffs' second round Monday night on the road.

Janesa Valoaga had 23 kills in the loss. Madison Fuller tallied 36 assists. Eleanna Laba and Halle Perkins had 28 and 25 digs, respectively.

Moorpark finishes the season 18-7, including an 8-2 Western State Conference campaign that earned its second consecutive conference crown.

Valoaga finished the season with conference-best 311 kills this season.
