Bio
Kai Werring was hired as the women's head coach in February of 2020 after serving as an assistant coach since 2018.
Werring is also the current head coach Conejo Valley United Soccer Club where he also holds the position of Youth Director. He was previously the head coach at Eagles Soccer Club and De Toledo High after being the assistant coach at Cal Lutheran University ('16-'17), head coach at Oak Park High School ('12-'16), and the LA Galaxy of the Conejo Valley ('13-'17).
Werring comes to Moorpark not just knowing the area as a coach, but as a player. He was a standout at Thousand Oaks High School and was named the Ventura County Player of the Year in 2004. In the same year he led Thousand Oaks to a CIF championship.
He then played for Moorpark College ('05-'06), where he was an All-American in 2006, which led him to play at Cal Lutheran University ('07-'08) where he was named to the SCIAC All-Conference team in 2008.
