Women's soccer uses team effort to rout Cerro Coso
MOORPARK - Nine goals in two matches for the good guys, no goals for the bad guys.
That's quite the start for new Moorpark women's soccer coach Kai Werring, who picked up his second consecutive victory Tuesday afternoon with a 5-0 rout of Cerro Coso at Arroyo Vista Park in Moorpark.
Moorpark won its home opener last week 4-0 over Imperial Valley.
Riley Tripp scored her third goal in two matches, while Sydney Zeto, Mia Nilson-Aguilar and Sophia Frias each added a goal of their own. A Cerro Coso own goal made the goal count five.
Tuesday's match was the Raiders' first of back-to-back matches. They'll take on Taft at Arroyo Vista Park Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.
