#3 Women's Basketball upends Oxnard to claim 5th straight WSC North Championship

The #3 Women's Basketball team stuck to task at hand and defeated Oxnard, 91-55, to claim their 5th staright WSC North Championship with one regular season game remaining. It was Sophomore Night and they honored and thanked the outgoing sophomores for their hard work, time, and dedication to the program. The following will be missed as they move on: Payton Love, Genesis Gonzales, Rome Falcocchia, Success Prysock, Calista Arzaga, and Rebecca Saidoff

After the pomp and circumstance, the Raiders took control of the game going out to a 10-2 score. The Condors were able to keep pace but the Raiders closed out the 1st quarter outscoring Oxnard, 17-12 for a 27-14 lead. 

The Raiders tightened the defensive screws in the second quarter forcing 7 turnovers and outscoring the Condors, 21-8 to take a 48-22 lead into the locker room. 

The 3rd quarter was played evenly as Oxnard's shots started to fall as evident of the 43% from the floor and 38% from the 3 point arc. With all what was going on, the Raiders were able to keep the Condors at a comfortbale distance leading 65-40 after three. When it was all over the Raiders had a 91-55 win and new hardware for the trophy case.

Every Raider that was suited up played and scored. They were led by Success Prysock double-double, a game high 25 points with 15 rebounds and 7 assists. Rome Falcocchia scored 18 points with 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Rebecca Saidoff also scored 18 points with 8 rebounds. 

The Raiders are now 24-3, 11-0 in WSC North. The next will travel to Cuesta to play their last regular season game, Wednesday, 2/21, 7p.
