Women's Basketball traveled to Long Beach to take on the Vikings for the second time in as many weeks and it was the Raiders winning again, 55-44. The Raiders defeated LBCC two weeks ago at the Mt Sac Tournament, 66-60.
The game started out slow for the Raider offense as the Vikings forged a 12-8 first quarter lead.
The second quarter started off with both teams exchanging baskets as Long Beach's lead stayed at 5 points. Mid-way through the second quarter, the Raiders went on a 6-0 run to take their first lead but the Vikings responded to re-take the lead. From that point, the Raiders went on 9-0 run to take a 29-20 halftime lead.
Long Beach cut the Raider's lead to 3 using a 7-0 run to cap off the 3rd quarter, 39-36 MC. The Raiders outscored the Vikings, 14-2 to start the 4th to put the game out of reach.
The Raiders were led by Fr reserve Rome Falcocchia who had a double-double, 19 points, 10 rebounds. Fr. Mika Jarrett added 16 points. Keilani Peralta had 8 points off the bench.
The Raiders will have Thansgiving week off before traveling to the Tom Gilcrest Invitational at College of the Sequoias, Thursday, 11/30
