Softball sweeps LA Valley during the week but splits double-header at LA Harbor.

MOORPARK,CA - The Raiders softball team had 5 games scheduled for the week but was only able to get 4 in. 

Traveling to Valley Glen to take on host LA Valley for two, the Raiders defeated the Monarchs 8-0 in game one and 15-0 in game two.

In game one, Kylie Kolkowski and Isabella Velasquez each homered to open the flood gates. Danielle Bishop had two RBIs. Alexa Paradis had a double. Jordyn Reed allowed one hit and struck out seven to get the win.

In game two, the Raiders exploded for 14 hits to score 15 runs. Taytem Reyes went 3 for 3 with 2 RBIs, 2 doubles and 3 runs scored. Leah Cowans went 3 for 4 with 4 RBIs, 2 doubles,and 3 runs scored. Kylie Kolkowski and isabella velasquez each homered. Danielle Bishop, Isabella Velasquez, and Mia Gregory each doubled. Amanda Smith and Reid split pitching duties with Smith getting the win.

On the week-end, the Raiders traveled to LA Harbor to play in a 3 team rotational against the Seahawks and Victor Valley. They came away splitting the two games defeating Victor Valley, 15-5 and a tight 2-1 loss to Harbor.

In game one, the Raiders put up a 10 spot in the bottom of the first and scored 5 more on their way to a 15-5 5 inning win. Isabella Velasquez went 2 for 2 with a homerun and 3 RBIs. Kylie Kolkowski went 3 for 3 with 3 RBIs, 3 runs scored, and 2 doubles. Amanda Smith scattered 7 hits, had 5 Ks and allowed 2 runs to pick up the win.

In the second game of the day, the Raiders had a tough go against Seahawk pitching as they were only to muster 6 hits and stranded 7 runners on base, dropping the game 2-0.

The Raiders have a few days off before hosting Chaffey for two on Saturday, March 2nd, 12p & 2p.
