#6 Men's Volleyball takes down #5 Long Beach City in 4 to keep play-off hopes alive

MOORPARK, CA - The #6 Raiders continued WSC action hosting perenial power #5 Long Beach City. It took four games but the Raiders defeated the VIkings, 17-25, 25-23, 25-16, and 25-21. With the win, the Raiders keep their post season hopes alive.

In game one, with the Raiders coming out sluggish added with the Vikings going on two big scoring runs, the Riaders never led and Long Beach closed out the set by 8.

Game two went back and forth. There were 5 lead changes and 4 ties in this one. Late in the set, the Raiders were able to taks adavantage of key Viking mistakes to extend their lead late in the set and the Raiders were able to hold off the visitors. 

in game 3, the Raiders never trailed and at one point, led by as much as 10 points. The Raiders were expecting a Viking surge but it never came.

In game 4, the Raiders took control almost immediatley. Although there were 3 ties, the Raiders eventually pulled away. The Vikings chipped into the Raider lead but never got closer than 4. 

The Raiders continue WSC action next week, traveling to El Camino, Wednesday, 4/3 and Pierce, Friday, 4/5. Both matches begin at 6p.
