Men's Volleyball defeats Pierce and Santa Barbara in 4 games to close out the week.

MOORPARK, CA - After starting WSC play with two losses, the Raider Men's Volleyball has reeled off 3 straight wins to get back in the hunt for a conference title and play-off spot. Hosting Pierce and Santa Barbara, the Raiders were able to pull out 2 4 game wins. The defeated Pierce 25-14, 24-26, 25-14, and 25-12. Two days later, the Raiders were able to hold off Santa Barbara, 25-22, 20-25, 25-19, and 25-22.

Hosting Pierce, the Raiders took game one with ease, opening up points gap of up to 12 points at one time on their way to a 25-14 win. Game two went Pierce's way. It was a back and forth set as no team was able to pull away. With the scored tied at 24, a Raider hitting error and a Brahma ace ended set two 24-26. Games 3 and 4 went like the first with the Raiders opening up big scoring advantages kept the Brahmas at bay.

Coming back and hosting Santa Barbara, the Raiders had to rally in set one to get the set win. Santa Barbara kept the momentum going in set two opening up a 5 point lead and the Raiders never got closer to that. One too many serving and hitting errors the took it's toll on the Raiders. The Raiders responded in game 3 tightening up their defense and hitting on their way to a 25-19 win. Both teams went back and forth in the 4th game until the Vaqueros started to make mistakes. The Raiders put together some key hit to go up 21-18. That was game, 25-22.

Next week the Raiders will be on the road to Antelope Valley to close out the first round of WSC action. Then they will head to Santa Monica to open up WSC 2nd round action.
