Men's Volleyball takes out Irvine Valley in 4 games

The freshman laiden Men's Volleyball team took down visiting Irvine Valley last night in four games. Game scores were 25-17, 18-25, 25-18, and 25-22.

With the win, the Raiders improve to 3-1 on the season.

The Raiders jumped out to quick lead over the Lazers in game one. Irvine Valley played catch-up for most of the game but could not get closer than 6 points.

Game two saw a reversal of roles as the Lazers jumped out to the lead and a combination of server errors and hitting mistakes, cost the Raiders game two.

Game three, the Raiders re-gained their composure and jumped on the Lazers with a lead the visitors couldn't overcome.

In game four, the Raiders too a commanding 12-5 score but the Lazers didn't flinch. Irvine Valley started to chip away at the lead closing the gap to 18-16. This time the young Raiders stepped up and played their game securing the set and match, 3-1.

The Raiders will travel to Grossmont where they will play San Diego Mesa and host Grossmont on Friday, 2/8, 10a and 2p repectively.
