Wyatt Tack win 800; Men win 4x100 Relay at RCC Invitational

The Riverside College Open was something to write home about.
 
The Moorpark College men's track and field team had two victories. The 4x100-meter relay team of Ryan Tischhauser, Will Davis, Jahbari Fraser and Colin Quinn shaved nearly one second off their time to win their race. Tischhauser (11.25) and Fraser (11.25) also shaved about half of a second off their open 100m times. Individually,  Wyatt Tack, who shaved over three seconds off his 800m time, to finish in a time of 1:58.31 for 1st place.
 
Moorpark College women's pole vaulters, Sami Crane and Kriztina Marquez, who are new to the event this season, set personal bests. Crane vaulted a foot higher (8' 1/2") to place 3rd while Marquez had a 6-inch improvement (6'6 ¾") to place 4th.
 
Outstanding thrower of the day was Jared Rhett, who launched his hammer 147'10", which is 10'10" further than his previous best to place 2nd. Cynthia Hurtado placed 2nd in both the discus (125') and the hammer (123'6"). Jaclyn Brown was 2nd in the javelin (97'2") and had an amazing season-opening mark in the hammer with her 3rd-place throw of 101'5".   
 
Jacob Carbajal continues to improve as well in both the open 100m (12.27) and 200m (24.88). Tischhauser ran a personal best in the 110 hurdles (16.01). Mitchell Prokey (1:01.09) shaved over one second off his 400m hjurdle time.  
 
Women's hurdlers, Amani Hooker (16.80), Kriztina Marquez (17.72) and Ashlan Larson (18.01) placed 2nd, 4th and 5th, respectively in the 100m hurdle race. Marquez and Larson saw one-half second improvements. Amani Hooker came back and improved in the 100m (13.29) to place 8th. 
 
Vanessa Avila finished in 2nd place in the 1500m race (5:08). Teammate Emily Richmond (5:18) shaved seven seconds off her time to place 6th. On the men's side, Marcus Fehlman (4:04) and Bryce Gardhouse (4:08) saw two and one-second improvements, respectively. Teammate Marcus Fehlman was right behind him with a season best of 1:58.89.  Ethan Land (2:03.66) and Antonio Andraus (2:09.92) also saw 1 second improvements.
