Bio
Jake Gwin is entering his first year as the Moorpark men's soccer team head coach in 2017. Gwin has been a high school Math, Science, and Physical Education teacher and coach in the Los Angeles Unified School District for almost 20 years. During that time at Canoga Park High, he’s led the Hunters to six CIF Section titles along with two appearances in the State Finals.
In 2007 his team ended the season ranked #1 in the Nation by NSCAA.
Gwin has also coached Club for 10 years, most recently at DMS11.
He has played at all levels from high school, club, college, to indoor and outdoor professional leagues.
Jake has a BA in Exercise Physiology from UC Davis, a California Clear Teaching Credential, and a Masters in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University.
Jake lives in Camarillo with his wife Christina and two daughters.
