Men's, women's soccer dominate away from home

The Moorpark College men's and women's soccer team both won in a rout Friday afternoon, combining to outscore its opponetns 7-0.

The men's team took down Cypress 2-0, and the women's thumped West LA 5-0.

Marc Hawkins (11th minute) and Jared Fuller (40th) each scored a goal in the Raiders' win over Cypress. Goalkeeper anchored the shutout with five saves. The men's team moves to 4-3-1 on the season ahead of its next match at Pasadena City on Tuesday at 2 p.m.

Riley Tripp scored two goals in the women's big road win over West LA, which showed the team's resilience after falling earlier in the week to LA Harbor 2-0.

Moorpark will start Western State Conference play Tuesday at LA Pierce at 4 p.m.
