#19 Men's Basketball defeats Cuesta, 85-70, to clinch a tie but 2 days later win outright WSC North title after Hancock loses.

MOORPARK, CA - Update. The #19 Men's Basketball claimed sole possesion of the WSC North Championship after Hancock lost their chance to clinch a tie after losing to VC. 

The #19 Raiders Men's Basketball team traveled to to San Luis Obispo to take on Cuesta for a chance to clinch at tie for WSC North title.

The Raiders left no doubt defeating Cuesta, 85-70. With the win they claim a piece of the the WSC title, the first since 2016 and Coach Keith Higgins' first WSC title.

Currently the Raiders lead Hancock by a half a game atop the standings. The Bullsdogs play at VC in their final game. A Hancock win will push the Raiders into a tie but a Bulldog loss and the Raiders claim the outright championship.

The Raiders were led by Avi Halpert who had a double-double, game high 20 points and 10 assists. Jamaal Unuakalu also had a double-double, 14 points and 16 rebounds. Kenji Cooper added 16 points and Jack Benyshek scored 15 points with 7 rebounds.

The Raiders finish the regular season 11-1 in WSC and 22-6 overall. They will now await CCCAA Southern California Regional pairings TBA Sunday or Monday the latest.
