#15 Men's Basketball slow start against Citrus spells doom for the Raiders

Coming back from the holidays and after a 10 day lay-off, the Raiders hosted WSC South brother Citrus College with the Owls running away with the win, 115-85.

In what has been the Raider's modus operandi all season long, their usual offensive slow start came back to haunt them again. The Owls used a 36-16 run in the opening 10 minutes, on their way to a 60-32 halftime score. Citrus shot well over 50% from the floor as they controled the first half.

In the second half, both teams exchanged buckets in the last 20 minutes with Citrus maintaining their lead throughout the half. The Owls shot a whopping 60% from the floor and 51% from beyond the arc.

Jamaal Unuakalu and Dylan Hoyt led the Raiders with 17 points each while Unuakalu had a double-double with 10 rebounds. Kenji Cooper chipped in 10 points

With the loss, the newly named 15th ranked Raiders moved to 11-5 on year and will open WSC North action next week at Pierce, Wednesday, January 10th at 5pm.
