Introducing Chris Casillas, a seasoned coach with over two decades of high school and youth sports expertise. With a passion for mentoring athletes and shaping future leaders, Chris has embarked on a new chapter as the Linebacker Coach at Moorpark College.
Having dedicated his life to coaching, Chris seized the opportunity to join Moorpark College, seeing it as the perfect moment to take his coaching journey to the next level.
Chris firmly believes in empowering students and nurturing leadership qualities within them. He advocates for a culture where players are encouraged to hold their teammates accountable, fostering an environment of mutual growth and success.
Throughout his coaching career, Chris has achieved remarkable milestones. His debut year witnessed the triumphant coaching of a 10-0 Jr. Football team, an early sign of the greatness that was to come. Notably, he reached the pinnacle of the C.I.F Championship and had the privilege of coaching NFL players Colby Wadman and Alex Sigleton, a testament to his ability to nurture talent at all levels.
For Chris, building a cohesive team extends beyond the field. He believes in fostering a strong sense of community by providing unwavering support for his players both on and off the turf. He understands that genuine connections are forged through candid conversations and authentic interactions.
Outside the realm of coaching, Chris is a devoted family man. He is happily married to Shannon, and together, they nurture their beautiful family consisting of sons Jaden and Payton, and daughter Morgan.
