Seven Raiders selected to the All-SCFA Northern Conference Team

The Southern California Football Association announced their postseason All-League Awards for the 2023 season. Seven Raiders were selected to the All-SCFA Northern Conference Team.

Named to the first team were QB Macloud Crowton, WR Noah Cronquist, DE Payton Casillas, and K/P Daniel Burke.

Named to the second team were OL Alonzo Gaytan, DB CJ Jackson, and DB Bertin Placid

Crowton re-wrote the Moorpark College passing record book. Breaking game, season, and career marks in pass attempts, pass completions, and passing yards. He also broke the game and season offensive yards record.

Cronquist tied the season reception record with 81, and was 17 yards away from the season reception yardage. He also had over 2000 yards in total offense.

Burke was 31/31 on extra points, made 13 field goals and broke the career FG record with 24. He also had a punt average of 37 yards, landing 9 inside the 20.

After sitting out the '22 season with an injury, Casillas continued '23 where he left in '21. 49 tackles, 9 sacks, and plenty of QB hurries. He ends his MC career with 86 tackles 16 sacks, and a first team All-SCFA selection.

Jackson had 41 tackles, 28 PBUs, and 3 INTs with a pic-six for the season. He finishes his MC career with 68 tackles, 6 INTs with 2 pic-six.

Placid is the epitome of JC football. As a freshman, Placid saw limited time but worked hard in the off-season to earn a starting spot in '23. He ended the season with 26 tackles, 2 INTs, and a second team All-SCFA selection.

Gaytan primary job was protecting Crowton's right side. His play was noticed by conference coaches by naming him a second team All-SCFA selection.
