Baseball goes 2-1 on the week, enters final week of WSC North action sitting in 4th

The Raiders opened the last round of WSC North action hosting Ventura and coming away with a 5-1 win. In the second game of the week, the Raiders traveled to Hancock and lost on a walk-off single, 3-2. To finish off the week, the Raiders hosted Pierce and took the game 6-1.

In the Ventura game, the Raiders were nursing a 2-1 lead going into the 7th when the second Raider batter, Daniel Orozco hit a 2 run homerun to give the Raiders some breathing room. The Raiders added an insurance run in the top of the 9th when Moses Hyde scored after Daniel Asplund reached 1st on E3.

Daniel Orozco went 2 for 5 with 2RBIs, a double, a homerun, and pitched 4.2 innings to get the win. Ryan Stewart went 2 for 4 with a RBI & a Double.

The Hancock gamed turned into a pitching battle. The Raiders opened the scoring with lead-off batter Daniel Orozco single and moved to 3rd on Anthony Deluca's single. Orozco scored on Ryan Stewart's SAC fly. Hancock scored in the 3rd and 5th innings to take a 2-1 lead going to the 7th. Brandon Glucroft led off with a single. Yandel Guereque bunted Glucroft over to 2nd and took 3rd on Asplund's grounder to 1st. Glucroft scored on a wild pitch to tie the game, 2-2, setting up the 9th. Hancock scored with two outs after the Raiders intentionally loaded the bases and the infield pulled in.

Hosting Pierce, the Raider bats came alive in the bottom of the 1st highlighted by Mingyu Kim's 2 run homerun and Yandel Guereque's 2 RBI double. 5-0, Raiders after 1. Form there the Raiders cruised to the 6-1 win.

Mingyu Kim went 2 for 4 with a Homerun and had 2 RBIs. Yandel Guereque went 1 for 4 with a double and 2 RBIs. Anthony Deluca went 2 for 5 with a run and a RBI. Caelan Eisenstein got the win.

The Raiders enter the final week of the season hosting Cuesta, Tuesday, 4/23, the traveling to Oxnard, Thursday, 4/25, and hosting Santa Barbara, Friday, 4/26. All games begin at 2:30p
