Baseball finishes non-conference schedule, eyes now on WSC North opener

Baseball team wrapped up their non-conference portion of their schedule, losing 3 straight. The Raiders now have eyes on their WSC North opener next week vs Ventura, barring inclement weather.

Playing their second game of the week, the road Raiders traveled to San Pedro to take on LA Harbor and came back with a 9-3 loss. The Raiders took advantage of Seahawk starting pitcher Kaleb Nakano's nerves as he struggeled from the start. Anthony Deluca reached base on a throwing error on the 3rd baseman, Danile Aguilera was hit by pitch, Daniel Orozco walked, Ryan Stewart walked, Mangyu Kim walked, Moses Hyde walked. The Raiders sent 9 batters to plate and had a 3-0 lead without a hit. The rest of the day belonged to Harbor. 

Their 3rd game of the week, the road Raiders traveled to Santa Clarita to face Canyons for the second time. This time COC got the win, 11-7. The Raiders took a 7-5 lead into the 6th inning, when COC tied it 7-7. The Cougars went ahead in the bottom of the 7th. Anthony Deluca went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs. Trey Harvey went 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Jadyn Myatt went 2 for 4 with a run scored and Daniel Orozco went 1 for 4 with a run scored.

The road Raiders traveled to Cypress to wrap-up the week and ended up losing 8-1. The Raiders got their run in the top of the 3rd with one out, Daniel Agulera doubled, moved to 3rd on a ground out. Aguilera scored when the Charger pitcher balked. Aguilera was 1-5 with the run scored.

The Raiders next open WSC North action hosting Ventura, Tuesday, 2/20 but inclement weather might make it neccesary to make schedule changes.
