Baseball defeats Canyons to get back on winning track

The Raiders Baseball hosted College of the Canyons and came away with a 1-0 win. It was thier 2nd win of the season after suffering 6 straight defeats.

Valor Castroll pitched the complete game shut-out, scattering 4 hits, striking out 3. Castroll was cruising until the 6th inning. With one out, Castroll walked COC's Charlie Rocca and the next batter Angelo Aleman doubled down left field line. Castroll didn't flinch. He enticed a grounder and pop-up and ended the Cougar's best chance to score. The Cougar s did not have an answer for Castroll.

The Raider's lone run came in the bottom of the 5th. Mingyu Kim walked and made it to 2nd Moses Hyde's SAC bunt. Anthony Deluca RBI single to left scored Kim.

The Raiders continue their busy week traveling to LA Harbor on Thursday, Canyons on Friday, and Cypress on Saturday. Next Tuesday, February 20th, they'll open up WSC North conference, hosting VC
