Baseball drops two in between atmospheric river

Despite all the rain, the Raider 9 were able to get 2 games in during the week. 

Playing East LA for the second time this year, the Raiders were eager to play the host Huskies again after their first defeat.

In the top of the 4th, after Daniel Aguilera walked, Ryan Stewart singled to left. The next Mingyu Kim doubled scoring Aguilera making it 1-0 Raiders. Moorpark would hold the lead in until the bottom of the sixth when ELAC was able to tie the game 1-1. The Huskies broke the tie in the bottom half of the 7th and were able to add an insurance run in the bottom of the 8th. 

In the top of the 9th, lead off batter Kim singled to left, then advanced to 2nd on a wild pitch. The next Raider batter, Brandon Glucroft single to right, scoring Kim and the rally was on. 3-2 ELAC, no outs, tying run at first. The next two batters grouded out and struck out. Jack Almedia walked. Anthony Deluca singled to centerfield, Glucroft had to wait it wasn't caught and was thrown out at 3rd, game over. 

Stewart and Kim both went 2 for 4. Valor Castroll pitched a solid 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits.

Playing Fullerton for the second time, the Raiders lost 27-7 

Daniel Aguilera scored twice, but picked up the loss. Tre Harvey went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored.

The Raiders play four games this week. They host Canyons on Tuesday, travel to Harbor on Thursday, Canyons on Friday, and Cypress on Saturday.
