Bio
Vern Vegso has served as Athletic Development and Marketing for Moorpark College since 2013 when he was hired by former Athletic Director Howard Davis. His responsibilities are raising capital, sponsorship pledges, In-Kind donations and marketing and promotions.
Vern began his career working at Cal State University,Fullerton as the Sports Marketing Director in 1980.
“Vern has been a huge asset in our fundraising efforts,bringing in more revenue than we’ve ever been able to prior. More importantly,Vern has advanced Moorpark College Athletics in our surrounding communities. He has really connected our programs to these communities in ways we’ve never been able to before his work. Vern is helping us to spread the word about the GREAT community college athletic program that Moorpark has had for nearly half a century,” said Athletic Director Howard Davis.
In his spare time Vegso enjoys working out, traveling, wine tasting and watching collegiate sports. Vegso a native of Fairport Harbor, Ohio and is a huge Ohio State Buckeye fan.
