Athletics along with the MC Foundation continues community outreach with Simi Sunrise Rotary, Moorpark Recreation, and Cub Scout Troop 3604
Last Saturday Athletics hosted another community outreach organized by the Moorpark College Foundation. Among the invited guests:
Game sponsor James Blancarte and his family, owners of the Blancarte Law Firm.
Cub Scouts Troop 360 where Men's Head Coach Keith talked with them after the game on teamwork so they could earn a "belt loop" which is an accomplishment patch for attending a sporting event and learning about a subject area from a professional.
Moorpark Recreation Youth Basketball was well represented with 26 in attendance, with two of them participating in the half-time shoot out where they were given an award.
John Tolson, President of Simi Sunrise Rotary Club along with VCCCD Trustee Bernardo Perez who is a Moorpark Morning Rotarian with 6 other Rotarians in attendance.
It was a great day for all the guests to take in two basketball games and show what Moorpark Athletics has to offer and enjoy the hospitaltiy from Sprouts Farmer's Market.
