Women's Cross Country shines at 3C2A SoCal Finals, take 3rd place and qualify for 3C2A State meet
Lady Raiders Shine at Southern California Regionals – Top Performance in Over 25 Years!
The Lady Raiders were ranked 9th going into the So Cal Regionals at Chaffey College. Going into the race there was a ton of positive energy flowing and with an amazing full team effort, the Lady Raiders finished with an impressive 3rd place finish!
The Raiders were led by Maya Natarajan who placed 13th with a time of 19:46. Kayla Saxton (20:54) of Simi Valley High School improved her time from the So Cal Preview race at Chaffey on Oct. 4th by 1 minute to finish 2nd overall for the Raiders. Addison Pereira (21:17) of Moorpark High School placed 39th overall and improved by 1 minute and 26 seconds! Fourth and fifth for the Raiders were Giselle Gonzalez (21:31) and Geidenn Gonzales (21:53) who placed 49th and 64th, respectively. Rounding out the top 7 were freshmen Isabella Shattuck (22:41) who improved by 1 minute exactly and Arianna Jimenez (22:48).
Maya Natarajan also was named to the 2024 Women's All-South Cross Country team
Next up for the Lady Raiders is the California State Championships at Woodward Park in Fresno. The 5k race will begin at 10am.
