In a battle of North vs South for WSC Volleyball Supremacy, #7 Women's Volleyball sweeps #18 Canyons in WSC Crossover action
As a precursor to the play-offs, the #7 Women's Volleyball hosted #18 and WSC South Champion College of the Canyons in the end of season WSC crossover. It was a battle of the North vs the South and the Raiders swept the visitors, 3-0. Game scores were 25-14, 25-14, and 25-13. Both teams will now await play-off seeding announcement and learn who they will open 3C2A Southern California Regionals against. The only item known is that the Raiders will host on Tuesday, 11/26, tentatively scheduled for a 6p start.
All three games mirrored each other not in score but in the action as well. Both teams started each game exchanging points and it looked like the match would go to more than 3 games. That did not happen as the Raiders would pull away in each of the three games, building leads by as much as 15 points. When the outcome was settled, the Raiders came away with the unofficial WSC Volleyball Supremacy crown.
Grace Hazelton led the Raider attack with 14 kills and 7 digs. Alesia Thomas had 11 kills. Gaby Schirado had 33 assists.
