The Moorpark College Women's Soccer team hosted cross county rival Ventura to open the second round of WSC conference play. The last time the two teams met, it was the Pirates that came away with a 1-0 lead. The difference? Mia Woods was rehabing an injury and didn't play in the first game.
The Pirates did not have an answer for Woods' speed and the freshman from Simi High only needed four shots to get 3 goals. Woods scored in the 5th, 14th and 40th minutes to single handily dispose of the Pirates. Kaiya Holts assisted on Woods' second goal and Taylor Selznick picked an assist on Woods' 3rd goal.
The Raiders are now 9-5 overall, 4-3 in WSC North. They will be on the road next week at Santa Barbara on Tuesday, October 29th at 1:30p and at Pierce on Friday, November 1st at 1:30p
