Women's Soccer gets back on the field, defeats LA Harbor to cap off the week
After having one game postponed because of the heatwave, the Women's Soccer team waited a week to get back on the field last week.
What was supposed to be their second home game, turned out to be their home opener as the Raiders hosted El Camino. The Warriors came right out the gate and scored twice in the first two minutes. The Raiders re-grouped and held the Warriors scoreless the rest of the first half. With the Raiders trailing 3-0, Alysa Diaz, with a pass from Taylor Selznick, found the back of the net to make the score 3-1 in the 62nd minute. The Warriors added another goal to make the score 4-1.
To cap off the week, the Raiders traveled to San Pedro to take on LA Harbor on Friday night. Freshman Mia Woods would have a break out night, scoring a hat trick in the Raider's 4-1 win over the Seahawks.
The Raiders are currently 2-2 on the year and will travel to Antelope Valley on Tuesday, 9/17 at 7p and then head to take on LA City on Friday, 9/20 at 6p.
