Wrestling took part in the Five07 2024 Turkey Day Dash or the Zack Zernik Mile (run/walk) at Cal Lutheran University to honor one of their own.
The Zack Zernik Mile is named for a Conejo Valley native, former Raider Wrestler and lifelong "Dasher" who lost his life in January 2023 at the age of 22. Zachary "Zack" Zernik, a graduate of Thousand Oaks High School, was hiking and rock climbing near Mount Boney outside Newbury Park when he went missing. Friends and family along with first responder search for days when his body was discovered in a ravine. 

"He loved life and was a leader for our younger athletes" said Raider Wrestling coach Lindley Kistler.
