WSC Champion Women's Golf places 3rd at 3C2A Southern California Regional to qualify for the 3C2A State Tournament
CHINO HILLS: The Moorpark College Women's Golf team traveled to Los Serranos GC (par-74, 5,683-yards), in Chino Hills for the 2024 3C2A Southern California Regional Finals. The Raiders faced some stiff competition as they finished in 3rd place behind So Cal Champion Mt. Sac. The Raiders opened the tournament shooting 343 on Sunday. They followed that up with 337 on Monday for a two day total of 660. The Raiders had been averaging 323 shots per round but shot above that for the week-end.
Lisette Orellana led the Raiders with a score of 80/77 157, Taylor Waters was second for the Raiders with 81/87 168, Makayla Low shot 91/83 174, and Kaila Aparicio shot 91/90 174.
With the 3rd place finish, they qualify for the 3C2A State Tournament to be held at Monarch Dunes GC in Nipomo. The festivities begin on Sunday, 11/17, @ 7:30a with Monday's tee time being the same.
