After taking an unexpected and extended break, the #4 Women's Basketball team hosted LA Mission and Santa Barbara in this week's WSC North action.
LA Mission, who are in the midst of their inaugural Women's Basketball season, were welcomed to the WSC North by the Raiders with open arms and a closed shooting lane as the Raiders raced out to a 31-2 opening quarter. The Raiders would go into halftime with a 60-11 lead.
In the second half, Coach Plummer rotated players throughout and all but one Raider had double digits playing minutes and scored.
Mikayla Oliver led the Raiders with a game high 24 points. Maleyni Toliver had 16 points with 9 rebounds. Petra Falcocchia added 13 points off the bench.
To close out the week, the Raiders hosted 2nd place Santa Barbara City who was sitting a game behind the Raiders in the conference standings. A Vaquero win and they would be in a 1st place tie, a loss and they will drop two games behind the Raiders.

The Raiders would be the ones to unwind and outscore Santa Barbara 36-13 in the second half to get the 66-29 win and a solid grip on 1st place.
Mika Jarrett led all scorers with 14 points. Mikayla Oliver added 10 points with 8 rebounds.
The Raiders will play Oxnard on Monday. 2/3 to make up the earlier postponement. They will then travel across the county to take on Ventura on Wednesday, 2/5 at 5p and close out the week hosting Cuesta on Saturday, 2/8 at 1p.
