Women's Basketball gets back on the court to defeat last year's State Runner-up Glendale, 50-33

After a two week hiatus, the Women's Basketball team got back on road to take on last year's 3C2A State Runner-up, Glendale. The Raiders came back home with a 50-33 win.

The Raiders looked at little rusty to trail the Vaqueros 10-9 after 1 quarter.

In the second quarter, the Raiders got untracked but the Vaqueros responded with an 11-16 lead with 8:31 left. The Raiders reeled off 8 straight points to take a 19-16 lead with 2:34 left but the Vaqueros tied it 19-19. The Raiders would score 4 more points to take a 23-19 halftime lead.

The third quarter turned into seesaw battle with the Raiders taking and holding a 6 point lead after 3, 33-27

The Raiders used a 7-2 run to open the 4th and take a commanding 40-29 lead with 5:34 left. The would go on a 10-4 run to close out the the game. 50-33.

Mika Jarrett led the Raiders with 11 points. Kristan Yumul added 10 points. Mikayla Oliver added 6 points with 8 rebounds.

With the win the Raiders improve to 4-3 and will compete at the Cypress Tournament beginning December 6th.
