The Moorpark College women’s basketball team coasted to a 96-65 victory Saturday night at home in the opening round of the CCCAA state playoffs.

The Moorpark College women's basketball team coasted to a 96-65 victory Saturday night at home in the opening round of the CCCAA state playoffs.

The recently-awarded SoCal State Player of the Year, Bree Calhoun, led the way with 24 points and nine assists. Jazzy Carrasco and Britt Van Buren each had 20.

Carrasco hit the 1,000-point milestone in the victory. Calhoun also hit the milestone earlier this season.
