Men's Cross Country places 4th at the 3C2A State Meet, best finish since 1997
The Moorpark College Men's Cross Country team traveled up to the beautiful Woodward Park in Fresno to compete at the annual 5CTCA State Cross Country Championships. An overnight storm dumped enough rain to the leave the cross country course not just wet, but muddy and slippery!
The dynamite T-n-T duo of Tyler Smith and Tommy White went 1 and 2 for the Raiders at the 5CTCA State Cross Country Championships! The wet, slippery and muddy course didn't slow down the Raiders who placed 4th overall as a team! Both Tyler Smith and Tommy White earned 1st team All-State honors with their 12th and 14th place finishes on the Woodward Cross Country course. Sophomore, Tyler Smith, managed to improve his time from the 2023 State Championships by 22 seconds, in spite of the slippery conditions! Smith finished in 21:11 while Tommy ran 21:14.
