#4 Men's Volleyball sweep Fullerton and get by Santa Barbara in 4 to go 2-0 in divisional action
The #4 ranked Men's Volleyball team continued to roll through divisional action sweeping Fullerton 3-0 and defeated Santa Barbara 3-1 to pick up two more wins to tighten thier grip on the Northern Canyon divisional lead at 10-2, 16-4 overall.
The Raiders closed out the week playing an exhibition match against D3 National Champion Cal Lutheran with Kingsmen sweeping the Raiders, 3-0. The Kingsmen are coached by former Raider Head Coach Kevin Judd and are currently led by former Raiders Michael Stahl and Braden Gonzales.
In the match against Fullerton, the Raiders wasted no time getting ahead of the Hornets, taking game 1, 25-15. In game 2 and 3 the Hornets settled in and were not going away so easily but the Raiders managed to keep the Hornets at bay the entire match. 25-22, and 25-20.
Jacob Knudsen led the Raiders with 11 kills. Ryan Ferguson had 19 assists with 5 digs.
In their rematch against Santa Barbara, the Raiders took games 1 and 2, 25-21 and 25-18. The Vaqueros took game 3, 21-25 and game four was looking like the match was headed to a 5th game.
Game 4 went back and forth with 10 ties with the last tie score at 18. The Raiders would use a 7-4 run to end the game and take the match, 25-22.
Knudsen led the Raiders with 15 kills and became Moorpark College's career leader in Kills with 471 with at least 3 more games remaining.
The Raiders will close out their regular season this week first at Pierce on Wednesday, 4/9, 6p and travel to Antelope Valley on Friday, 4/11, 6p
