Men's and Women's Track and Field have several athletes improve personal and season bests at the Dave Shannon Invitational
The Men's and Women's Track and Field teams competed at the El Camino Dave Shannon Invitational this past week with several Raiders improving personal and season bests.
Top Raider performances at the El Camino Dave Shannon Invitational were Eric Glover and Malikai Bowens with their 2nd place finishes in the shot put and triple jump, respectively. Eric's 43' 8 ¾" toss and Malikai's 43' 5 ¼" jump were season bests!
Top performer for the Lady Raiders was Abby Degnan who had 3 big improvements! She made a big jump in the pole vault! She nearly doubled her jump from the previous week and moved into 2nd best WSC performance! Abby's 3rd place throw in the hammer was a 15'6" improvement!! (98'5" – she is about to cross the 100-foot mark!!!). She also improved 15' 8" in the javelin (85' 3").
Additional notable improvements include:
- Jeremiah Hayes: 2 feet in the triple jump (42' 0")
- Lily Coleman: 3' 4" in the javelin (42' 4")
- Lily Coleman: 7'3" in the hammer (64' 4")
- Jonathan Castro: 3 second in the 1500m (4:16)
- Angel Laureano: 3 seconds in the 800m (2:09.5)
- Charles Young: .21 seconds in the 100m (11.13)
- Charles Young: .36 seconds in the 200m (23.43)
- Preston Binns: .78 second in the 200m (24.16)
The Raiders will host thier MC Invitational this Friday, 4/4 begining at 12p
