The Moorpark Raiders started their conference competition strong! Coming off a 4-year WSC Championship winning streak, they demonstrated their conference dominance by scoring 238 points to second place Canyons (121 points).

The Raiders were led by freshman Jeremy Gamble who scored 58 points in 8 events.  Gamble won the high jump & javelin.   He placed 2^nd in the 110 hurdles, pole vault and long jump.  And if that isn't enough, he also placed 3^rd in the triple jump and 4^th in both the shot put and discus!

Sophomore Malik Hensley-Prince contributed 25 points to the Raiders win!   He did this by winning the 100m, 200m and running on both the winning 4x100 and 4x400 relays!

• Rashad Shamburger placed 2^nd in the 200m with a .60 improvement!
• Jacob Arroyo had a 3.3 second improvement in the 800 which placed him 7^th overall!  He also improved 7 seconds in the 1500m.
• Devin Heinemann shaved 9 seconds off his 1500m time!
• Edgardo Santiago improved 4.2 seconds in the 1500m
• Edwin Salvador ran 2.7 seconds faster in the 1500m
• Angel Garcia improved by 8 seconds in the 3000m
• Powell Williams shaved .7 seconds off his 110 hurdle time
• Carter Pease jumped a season best in the pole vault
• Powell Williams jumped 4" further in the triple jump
• Brooks Smith threw the javelin 5 feet further to placed 3rd
