WSC defending Champions Men's and Women's Track and Field team host MC Multis to open the 2025 season.
The defending WSC Champions hosted their season opening MC Multis hosting multiple 3C2A teams along with some 4 year schools. The meet included a Decathlon and Heptathlon with several Raiders setting individual PRs and setting the standards for the upcoming season.
Some of the highlights include:
Decathlon: Jeremy Gamble and Powell Williams competed in their first decathlon! Gamble won with a score of 5749 and Powell was 3rd with 5044 points.
Heptathlon: Denver Mack-Reyes won with 2973 points which was a 450 point improvement from the same meet last year.
Top Women Performances:
Freshman Keira Wyatt won the 60m (7.92) and the 200m (26.22).
Freshman Keira Kassi placed 2nd in the 600m (1:51) and the 1500m (5:16)
Freshman Maya Natarajan placed 2nd in the 3000m (10:40)
Top Men Performances:
Sophomore Malik Hensley-Prince won the 200m (22.12) and took 2nd in the 60m (6.90)
Sophomore Rashad Shamburger was 3rd in the 60m (6.93)
Sophomores Janrebb Puno (1:26) and Tyler Smith (1:27) were 4th and 5th in the 600m
Freshman Logan Torres was 4th in the 1500m (4:12)
Freshman Carter Pease won the pole vault (10'0)
Isaiah Love took 2nd in the high jump (5'10 3/4")
The team of (Dominic Perez, Malik Hensley-Prince, Rashad Shamburger and Brooks Smith) won with a time of 3:28.
The Raiders next compete at Westmont's Sunshine Invitational next Friday, 2/7
