Men's Soccer falls to Hancock before starting second round of WSC North action against Oxnard

The Moorpark College Men's Soccer team completed the first round of WSC North action hosting Hancock to open the week. To begin second round of WSC North action, the Raiders played host to 2nd place Oxnard to close out the week.

On Tuesday the Raiders dropped a closely contested match to Hancock 2-1. The Bulldogs opened the scoring in the 18th minute. The Raiders tied the game in the 43rd minute when Marcos Hernandez's entry pass found a flying John Pacheco on the right side and Pacheco made it true off his right foot. Hancock wasted little time and scored right before the half to re-take the lead, 2-1. Hancock's defense made the score stand to get the win.

In the week's closing match-up, the Raiders hosted Oxnard to begin round two of the grueling WSC North. It was all Condors as they scored in the 30th minute and held on for a 1-0 win.

The Raiders are 0-4-2 in WSC North and 4-8-3 overall. They will host Pierce on Tuesday, 11/5 at 3p and then hit the road for 6p start against LA Mission on 11/8.
