Baseball takes two from Oxnard in WSC North action.

The Raiders Baseball team wrapped up their 3 game series part of their schedule, taking 2 of 3 from Oxnard. The Raiders opened the week defeating the Condors, 18-2 and followed that 2 days later with a 9-0 shut out win at home. The Condors got the best of the Raiders in the week finale, 7-2
The Raiders raced out to an 11-1 lead after 3 innings and never looked back in game 1. Nate Kaczynski went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles, a triple, and 5 RBIs with 4 runs scored to lead the Raider offensive attack. Jadon Onaca went 4 for 5 with a double and 5 RBIs. Valor Castroll got the win.
Starting pitcher Paul Mellado pitched a 7 inning gem, scattering 3 Condor hits with 4 Ks to stifle the Oxnard bats and keep them off the scoreboard in game two Danny Asplund went 2 for 5 with 2 RBIs and 1 run scored. Bryson Gordon had a double and a RBI with a run scored.
To close out the week, the Raider bats started the week-end off early. Kaczynski went 2 for 2 with a walk and a run scored. Onaca went 1 for 4 with a double and RBI.
The Raiders will play four this week starting at Santa Barbara on Tuesday 4/15, followed with Ventura on Thursday, 4/17, Hancock on Friday, 4/18 and finish off with Pierce on Saturday, 4/19.
