Despite the rain, Baseball and Pierce able to adjust and play their 3 scheduled WSC North games
Prior to the forecasted rain, the Raiders had adjusted their weekly WSC North series against Pierce to hopefully avoid the rain. The Brahmas defeated the Raiders, 6-3 in the first game. Then the rain came. Having postponed game 2 twice and game 3 looking bleak, the Raiders and Brahmas played a double-header on Sunday. The Raiders fell to Pierce, 3-2 with the Brahmas winning in walk-off fashion. Game 3 went to the Pierce, 5-1.
With the 3 losses, the Raiders are now 1-11 in WSC North, 3-18 overall.
In game 1, Max Fernandez went 2 for 4 with a RBI and a run scored. Gabriel Flores went 2 for 4 with a RBI. Austin Cuccias went 1 for 2 with a double and 2 walks.
In game 2, Nate Kaczynski went 2 for 3 with a homerun and a RBI. Flores went 2 for 3 with a RBI and Drew Paez had a triple.
In Game 3, Danny Asplund , Nate Kaczynski , Drew Paez , Landon Wagner all had doubles but did'nt produce a run
The Raiders will take their bye week from WSC North action and host Compton on Monday, 3/17, 1p. Then they will play two rain make-up dates. They will host West Hills Coalinga on Tuesday, 3/18, 2p and travel to Bakersfield on Friday, 3/21, for a 2p start.
