Moorpark College adding Women's Wrestling as an ICA sport for Spring 2025
We are excited to officially announce the addition of Women's Wrestling as an ICA sport to Moorpark College Athletics for Spring 2025!!!
Women's wrestling will be our 17th sport team currently offered and our 9th women's sport team. It will also be our 7th Spring sport. Based on the interest shown by our students over the last few years, and the overwhelming growth in the sport at the high school and collegiate level recently, we believe women's wrestling is the perfect addition to Moorpark College Athletics. We are the 15th 3C2A school in the state to add women's wrestling and proud to be one of the pioneer 3C2A programs in the sport.
Additionally, please help me congratulate Miles Minton as our new Women's Wrestling Head Coach! Miles has been serving as our Men's Wrestling Assistant Coach, as well as growing wrestling opportunities for student athletes at the local high school level. Beyond his wealth of experience and success as an athlete, educator, and coach, Miles also founded the first sanctioned all-girls high school wrestling team in Conejo Valley. It is only fitting that Miles stewards the first collegiate women's wrestling program in Ventura County.
Thank you to Matt Calfin for his hard work supporting the addition of Women's Wrestling for this Spring.
I would also like to thank Men's Wrestling Head Coach Lindley Kistler, as well as Vance Manakas and Matt Crater, for their integral help in the process.
GO RAIDERS!!!
