Ribbon Cutting for Beach Volleyball Complex and Outdoor Training Facility set for October 31st
Athletics along with the Moorpark College Foundation is pleased to announce that on October 31st, the Grand Openeing of the Beach Volleyball Stadium Complex and the Outdoor Traning Facility will take place. After 9 months of construction, the new Beach Volleyball Stadium at Moorpark College is the first of its kind in Ventura County, featuring eight NCAA regulation courts with officiating stands, Stadium lighting, and an outdoor shower.
Conveniently located near parking and the gymnasium, it will serve as the home for the Raider's Women's Beach Volleyball team and will host 3C2A events, along with CIF, NCAA competitions, youth clinics, and Kinesiology courses.
Although construction began prior to the Covid Pandemic, the new Outdoor Training Facility at Moorpark College is finally complete having the roof installation as it's final detail.
This state-of-the-art open fitness facility accommodates up to 100 exercisers and is equipped with several weight stations, pull-up bars, kettlebells, medicine balls, barbells, several thousand pounds of weight plates, battle ropes, Torque Tanks and more, providing everything needed for dynamic fitness training.
Exercise Science students hone their skills in both personal and group training, while Moorpark College athletes utilize the space for corrective exercises and sports conditioning.
The event will take place in Parking Lot 7 adjacent to the Outdoor Training Facility from 1p-2p.
