The Raiders Fight On
In a week of thrilling athletic action our teams continued to showcase their prowess on various fronts. The Women’s Volleyball team displayed their tenacity by defeating Ventura 3-1 on Wednesday, with Larissa Dakoske leading the charge with an impressive 13 digs and 4 aces. Despite a tough fight on Friday, they narrowly lost to Santa Barbara 2-3, demonstrating their resilience on the court.
On the cross country trails, the Men’s team continued their upward trajectory, securing a commendable 2nd place in the Oxnard meet. Meanwhile, Women’s Soccer dominated the field against Oxnard, delivering a powerful performance on home turf, resulting in a resounding 5-0 victory. Men’s Soccer also showcased their skill, triumphing over Glendale with a solid 1-0 win, courtesy of Rudy Maravilla’s game-winning goal.
Looking ahead, the excitement continues with the highly anticipated Blue and White Hoops night on Thursday, marking the beginning of the men’s and women’s basketball seasons. The event promises an array of outdoor and indoor activities from 3-8 pm, including team scrimmages, skills competitions, and a three-point shootout.
