A Week of Triumph

Last week, our Raider Women's teams delivered exceptional performances across various sports. The Women's Soccer team demonstrated their prowess with two resounding victories. Their first triumph was an impressive away game against LA Valley, where they dominated with a final score of 5-2. They continued their winning streak on home turf, defeating West LA with a solid 2-0 finish. Meanwhile, on the Volleyball courts, our Women's team displayed their dominance with two consecutive shutout victories against College of the Canyons and Santa Monica, both ending with a 3-0 score. In the realm of Women’s Golf, our athletes shone bright at the Western State Conference Invitational, securing the win. Lisette Orlenna-Martinez played a pivotal role, contributing a remarkable score of 74 and finishing second for the team.

Men’s Wrestling also had a significant moment last week when they faced West Hills on the road. The team achieved a historic victory, edging out West Hills with a nail-biting final score of 28-27. This marks a significant milestone for the team, as this is the first time they’ve defeated this opponent. Armando Renteria emerged as a standout performer, maintaining his undefeated streak and receiving crucial support from his teammates to secure the win.

In anticipation of an exciting weekend, our highly awaited Homecoming game is set for this upcoming Saturday, 9/30, against Allan Hancock College. The festivities kick off with gates opening at 2:30, offering a lively tailgate experience complete with food trucks, games and a halftime raffle. Join us in full force to showcase your Raider spirit and make this Homecoming game a memorable event!
