Women's Golf take 2nd at SoCal Regionals, headed to State Championships

The Raider Women's Golf team finished the two-day CCCAA Southern California Championship in 2nd place to clinch a trip to the CCCAA State Tournament.

Moorpark finished with a 2 day score of 650 (336/314) on the par-71 Simi Hills Golf Course after shaving 22 strokes off its opening round score to edge out WSC Conference rival College of the Canyons by 2 strokes

Mt. San Antonio College won the regional championship with a low score of 628 (315/313). College of the Canyons was 3rd with a score of 652 (330/322). Fullerton College scored 662 (336/326) to finish in fourth and was the final team from the region to qualify for the state tourney. 

Cathilyn Lee of Fullerton won the individual regional championship with a two-day three-under-par score of 139 (70/69). 

Mt. SAC, Moorpark, Canyons and Fullerton will now advance to the CCCAA State Championships being played Nov. 12-13 at Hunter Ranch Golf Course in Paso Robles.
