Alisal River Golf Course in Solvang was the site of the So. Cal. Regional Tournament Nov. 11 and 12.

Moorpark's Georgia Shevitt carded 82-71 (153) and finished in 4th place in the 57-player field to advance to the 2018 California Community College State Championship Tournament.

Last year, Shevitt finished in third place in the So. Cal. Regional Tournament. Women's Golf So. Cal. Regional Championship (57 players competed)

In the nine college team competition, Canyons won with a team score of 603, 2 nd place Desert 647, 3 rd place Santa Barbara 659 and 4 th place Saddleback 664.

The remaining teams not going to State Tournament – Palomar, Fullerton, Bakersfield, Cuyamaca, and Mt. SAC.

Moorpark's Olivia Block also competed for Moorpark and finish with a season best 86-84 (170) good for 26th place.
