Women's Basketball 3rd at own We Are MC Invitational

Playing in their We Are MC Invitational, the Raiders went 2-1 on the week-end. The first game against College of the Canyons saw a seesaw battle with the Riaders pulling away in the 4th. On the second night, the Raiders struggled defensively and fell against a solid East LA team. In the 3rd place game against College of Sequioas, the Raiders woke up and played a complete game to dominate the Giants.

MC vs COC: In the first half, Canyons opened up 7 point lead after one quarter. The teams played evenly in the 2 quarter with Canyons hanging on to a 29-24 lead. The second half was a little different story as the caffiene finally kicked in. Mid 3rd quarter, the Raiders used a 10 point run to tie the game 43-43. From there the Raiders closed out the scoring 18-7 and a 61-50 final score. Rebecca Saidof had a game high 18 points with Angela Santana adding 9 points off the bench. Payton Love had 8 points with 8 rebounds. Success Prysock added 6 points with 9 rebounds

MC vs ELAC: The Raiders did not have a defensive answer for the Huskies but it was the Huskies that was able to hold off the Raiders en route to a 69-55 win Rebecca Saidof had a team-high 16 points with 6 rebounds. Success Prsock added 10 points

MC vs Sequioas: The Raiders went on a 25-6 1st quarter run and never looked back. When the dust settled, the Raiders had the 72-52 win. 3 Raiders scored 14 points, Rebecca Saidof, Success Prysock, and Mika Jarrett. Rome Falcocchia pitched in 8 points off the bench. 

The Raiders are now 4-2 and will next play at Long Beach City, Friday 11/17 at 3pm
