Amanda Smith named WSC North Pitcher of the Year, Ashley Sandoval-Colon named WSCN Coach of the Year and 10 players selected All-WSC North

MOORPARK,CA - The WSC North Softball announced their selections for their post season All-WSC team and the Raiders picked up a few pieces of hardware. 

Pitcher Amanda Smith, a freshman from Oak Park HS, was tab the WSC North Pitcher of the Year. Smith was also named to the 3CFCA South All-State Team. As customary, Ashley Sandoval-Colon was named WSC North Coach of the Year. It was Sandoval-Colon's second COY in 3 years at the helm at Moorpark.

Smith pitched 194 innings, had 163 Ks, a no-hitter against VC with a perfect game against Santa Monica. She finished the year with 26 wins 8 losses, 14-0 in conference, with an ERA of 1.62, .81 in WSC North.

Mallory Akhlaghi, a sophomore from Westlake HS, Maddy Mekari, a sophomore from Newbury Park HS, Alexa Paradis, a sophomore from Newbury Park HS, and Danielle Bishop, a freshman from Foothill Tech HS were named First Team All-WSC North.

Leah Cowans, a freshman from Camarillo HS, Kylie Kolkowski, a freshman from Thousand Oaks HS, Isabella Velasquez, a freshman from Simi Valley HS, and Taytem Reyes, a freshman from Newbury Park HS were named Second Team All-WSC North.

Mia Gregory, a freshman from Royal HS and Ashlyn Olson, a freshman from Camarillo HS were All-WSC North Honorable Mention.
