Baseball drops three to Cuesta in return to WSC North action
After taking a two week break away from WSC North action, the Raider Baseball had the formidable task of taking on 2nd place Cuesta. The Cougars took all 3 games from the Raiders by scores of 3-2, 14-3, and 13-3.
In the series opener, the Raider's Valor Castroll held the visitors to one run on 6 hits through 7 innings of work but the Raider bats only managed 4 hits through 8 innings. The Raider's lone run came on Jadon Onaca RBI double which scored Nate Kaczynski, who singled to open the 9th inning.
Nate Franco and Kaczynski each went 2 for 4 in game 2 with each scoring a run. Brandon Glucroft went 2 for 3 with a walk and a run scored.
Drew Paez went 3 for 5 with a double and a run scored in the 3rd game. Kaczynski picked up 2 RBIs on a fielder's choice and ground out
The Raiders are currently 1-14 in WSC North and 5-23 overall. They will take on Oxnard this week beginning at Oxnard on 4/8, 2p.
