Fall Sports Season Enters Second Week of Competetion
The Raiders enter the second week of competition as Women's Soccer along with Men's and Women's Soccer opening their seasons.
#15 Women's Volleyball went 2-1 for the week losing a 5 game marathon to Long Beach City, 23-25, 25-20, 25-14, 17-25, & 5-15, before winning two at the College of the Desert Tri meet. They swept both COD, 25-13, 25-23 & 25-17 and Fullerton, 25-17, 25-14, 25-8.
Men's Soccer went 1-0-1 during the week. They defeated College of the Canyons in impressive fashion, 2-0. In their second game, they played to a 0-0 tie against Victor Valley.
Women's Soccer opened their season on the wrong side of a 1-0 loss to Pasadena City.
Men's and Women's Cross Country team opened their season at the Mark Covert Classic Invitational on an early Saturday morning. The Young Raiders held their own against 12 4-year schools along with 1 other JC team. The Men finished in 8th place and the Women DNP as they did not have a full team.
